Band Overhead Triceps Extension
How to do it
Starting position
- Step on one end of the band with one foot and grip the other end with both hands.
- Bring your hands behind your head and point your elbows up.
- Keep your elbows close to your ears without letting them flare out.
Movement
- Keep your elbows fixed in place and extend your arms straight up.
- Squeeze your triceps briefly at the top.
- Slowly lower them back behind your head.
Breathing
Exhale as you extend, inhale as you lower.
Cautions
- If your lower back arches, pull your ribs down and brace your abs.
- If your elbows flare out to the sides, your shoulders work instead.
