Resistance Band Lying Leg Raise
How to do it
Starting position
- Place a mat on the floor and lie comfortably on your back.
- Securely loop the center of the band around the soles of your feet.
- Hold the band handles in both hands and anchor them to the floor.
- Straighten both legs and lift them slightly off the floor.
Movement
- Engage your abs and slowly raise your legs upward.
- Only raise your legs to the point where your pelvis does not tuck.
- Slowly lower your legs, maintaining tension in your abs.
Breathing
Inhale as you lower your legs and exhale as you raise them.
Cautions
- If your lower back comes off the floor, there is a risk of back injury, so keep your abs braced.
- If the band slips, you can injure your face, so secure it firmly to the soles of your feet.
If you feel pain during the exercise, stop. If it continues, talk to a professional.
