Resistance Band Leg Curl
How to do it
Starting position
- Tie the band securely to an anchor point.
- Loop the band around your ankle.
- Lie facedown on the mat and keep your upper body straight.
- Keep your gaze toward the mat.
Movement
- Pull your heels toward your glutes using your hamstrings.
- Fully curl your legs until the band is taut.
- Pause briefly at the peak contraction and squeeze the muscle.
- Slowly return to the starting position while feeling the resistance.
Breathing
Exhale as you pull your legs in and inhale as you return.
Cautions
- Using momentum strains your lower back, so move slowly.
If you feel pain during the exercise, stop. If it continues, talk to a professional.
