Wall Calf Stretch
How to do it
Starting position
- Stand facing the wall and place both hands on the wall shoulder-width apart
- Step one foot back about one large step
- Point the toes of both feet toward the wall
Movement
- Keep your torso upright and slowly bend your front knee
- Shift your weight so your back foot is flat on the floor
- Hold while maintaining the stretch in the back of your calf
Breathing
Breathe deeply and comfortably while holding the position
Trainer tips
- Place your hands on the wall, straighten your back knee, and keep your heel on the floor
Cautions
- If your lower back arches excessively, it can cause pain, so brace your abs
- Letting the heels lift, preventing the stretch
If you feel pain during the exercise, stop. If it continues, talk to a professional.
